Babysitters

Babysitters typically look after children while parents go for an evening or afternoon out. There is no legal minimum age, but the NSPCC says they should be more than 16. If you use a babysitter under 16 and the child is injured in their care, you may be held responsible. So, choose babysitters carefully and ask for references if you do not know the person well.

Qualifications:
Babysitters don't have to be qualified but if you are hiring someone through an agency, who you have never met before, it is a good idea to ask for a nanny, nurse or teacher so that you have peace of mind knowing that they have experience.
