Just @sk, change of address

The Just @sk Centre has relocated from Caroline Street to a newly refurbished town centre premises in Wyndham Street to provide quality information, advice and guidance services to young people aged 11 - 25, bringing together a wide range of service providers in one fantastic venue. Information is provided on a wide range of issues relevant to young people, based upon the Welsh Assembly Government's Ten Entitlements.

The Just @sk Programme provides a range of information, advice, guidance, signposting and media based services and projects for young people throughout the county borough. Central to this programme is the Bridgend town centre based Just @sk Youth Information Centre.

Projects and services taking place within the centre will include:

  • Cyber cafe facility
  • Accredited programme of multi-media based workshops
  • Independent Living skills programmes
  • Counselling Service
  • Youth Advice Sexual Health clinic
  • Way Forward young parents project
  • Peer Signposting Project
  • Exchange and Travel Groups and programmes
  • Environmental projects
  • Social Drop-in
  • Job search and preparation for work
  • Training venue for use by a variety of projects
  • Issue based resource library
  • Film club
  • Bridgend Youth Council
  • A wide range of specialist advice surgeries provided by a range of multi-agency partners

The centre will also be offering a healthy living cafe, which will be operated as a training initiative for young volunteers, providing low cost healthy snacks and drinks for centre users.

The centre will provide an inviting, attractive and accessible base for all young people aged 11 - 25 to access the services, projects and activities more suited to their changing individual needs.
