Help at hand

Children in Wales along with the Welsh assembly government have produced a booklet intended to provide ideas, help and advice for parents/carers of children in regards to dealing with children's behaviour.

The United Nations convention recognises that children and young people have a right to an education, to health care and to be protected from harm. The convention also recognises that parents should be given help and assistance where required, to carry out their responsibilities, from stage of development, understanding the rules, anxiety and how to "praise" can improve behaviour.

Advice for parents if they feel stressed or angry and how to instigate help from friends and family, or other parents and useful numbers for parents to call when they feel they need help with children or babies. There is a lot of advice content on how to deal with difficult situations like tantrums at the supermarket to developing a bedtime routine.
