This is a live art workshop for families and individuals to take up residence in the Grand Pavilion’s cardboard community! When you arrive you will be given some cardboard and basic materials to make your own dream home. You will choose the location to build it in the main auditorium, and get support with your ‘new-build’ from our various DIY design shops! You can start your house at any time over the weekend, and come and go as you wish, adding to, and renovating your house, meeting your new neighbours and tending to your garden. Be sure not to miss the street party on Sunday at 4pm to celebrate your new community! And when it’s time to leave, you can take your new home with you. All materials provided. |

Join Alice on her magical adventure as she chases the white rabbit back in time on a fantastic spiralling journey into Wonderland. Watch her change in size in this dream-like shadow adaption inspired by the famous tale by Lewis Carroll. On her journey she meets the Cheshire Cat, a two legged dragon and the March Hare at the mediaeval Mad Hatter’s tea party. But beware the Queen of Hearts or you might just lose your head! Hip hop at the Berwyn Centre |
Learn a variety of hip hop techniques by coming along to the free street dance workshops at the council-run Berwyn Centre in Nantymoel from Tuesday 3 August to Thursday 5 August from 12pm – 3pm. For young people aged 11 – 16, dance tutor Issie Lloyd will teach a variety of hip hop techniques such as locking, lyrical movement and floor work and will give dancers the opportunity to improve their own individual style and put their creative skills into practice through the power of funk! |
